Royal Chitwan National Park, located in the central inner Terai region, was the former Royal Hunting Reserve. The great one horn rhinoceros, several species of deer, bear, leopard, dolphin, crocodile, birds, tigers etc. inhabit in this park in their natural habitat. Many comfortable lodges operate both inside and outside this park, providing rooms, food, elephant rides to view wildlife, nature walks, bird watching etc. A tempting invitation indeed for the adventure loving tourist allowing them to be away from the maddening rush of the city crowd, basking in tranquil, calm and tension free atmosphere, a well earned holiday amongst natural surroundings. |
